New Blog at Homeschooling Is Legal.
Annette writes:
After receiving several inquiries this week about the HSIL site, I decided that the time is right to add a blog to Homeschooling Is Legal. I’ve noticed that people tend to have very strong feelings regarding HSLDA, either being fervent supporters or vehemently opposed to the organization as a whole. Many have categorized the Homeschooling Is Legal website as being anti-HSLDA. I can’t speak for the founder of this website but I personally don’t feel that this site is anti-anything. The main theme throughout is in defense of sovereignty.

The process of success…
A BIG Thanks to all the HA-NC members for their ideas and input, and a pat on the back to Toni for her efforts!!
Toni writes:
Mr Helder has notified me that the website is, as of now, password
protected. In his email to me he notes:
“… as of the end of the business day on October 11, 2006, a number of the
documents which included home school street addresses were taken off the
web. Of those currently remaining there, all are now password protected.
Good progress has been made on that problem in a truly amazing short period
of time. More on that perhaps at a later date.”
And, regarding the by now infamous meetings issue which I had addressed
concerns about:
“Attached is a copy of the revised letter mailed yesterday to the 12-14
families invited to the Garner meeting location announcing the change
of meeting site and clarifying that the bringing of children is optional.
Similar letters already sent out earlier to other parts of the state for
locations there during November do not say optional concerning the bringing
of children. However, all future invitation letters for all December Record
Review Meetings (and for months thereafter) will certainly so state.”
